Updating this for you and in general as I’ve talked to the creator of CaN Mane/Tails Add-on and she’s in the process of adding many more styles of mane and tail choices, including Flurry Heart. So expect a Princess Flurry Heart to be made after it’s released! (Is actually excited because adult Flurry Heart would be fitting in some ways.)

yeap. I always wonder why the author made the neck with that strange amendment. I even modeled a face and neck that fits the textures of the human face. they look much better.

Hmm…I just don’t know. It seems more to me that pony mods stopped popping up on Fallout 4 because mod authors got tired of the harassment they’d face for posting such content. Which is a shame, really.

I also don’t see mod authors already preparing for 76 (due to it being online only) and Fallout 5? How would they be gearing up for a game that probably won’t even be revealed for another 3-5 years?

CaN had a ton of potential but the mod never reached it. No one else seems to be picking up the reins, either. As much as I enjoy roaming the wastes as an anthro pone, I’ve pretty much laid the mod to rest. Unless it gets some updated/more realistic mane styles with better face and skin textures…I probably won’t go back to it.

interesting. in my game I’ve already changed and remodeled everything to my liking. I use only the CBBE and CaN plugins. I use adapted horiginal hair of the game for the mane and a tail with hair textures too, I think the mane textures CaN very out of place in the game.

Ironic that you say that… Very ironic given that this discussion is over FALLOUT 4, not the show… not any other game… and heed the name carefully. If you even looked at my other uploads, you would clearly see that I have quadpedal ponies that I play as… Legends of Equestria… Pony Town… Second Life even (although that’s not exactly a game per se…), but even then, my favorites clearly show that I like BOTH quadpedal and anthro (anthro moreso), so don’t fling an attitude towards me when you were the one confused by my post.

@Wiimeiser

Would be easy to do in anthro form, even though she would be missing the blue streak in her mane. Something I can mess around with when starting a new game. If she’s your OC, at least let me know that much so I can credit you for being her creator.

I read it, I just don’t care enough about having quadpedal pones running around. Essentially, they are pointless to me.

Realistically speaking, the brony community for modding Fallout 4 really hasn’t been a large thing, even though Bethesda was overly awesome to acknowledge the fandom by adding in random references across the game. Plus, as content creators start to look at things as updates instead of that initial release, the love of that mod tends to die off. Even though Fallout 4 is a great game, it is ~3 years old, and with Fallout 76 coming up here in November and Fallout 5 due out some time far later, the modders would be focusing more on that instead of 4, despite using the same assets.

It’s a shame CaN isn’t supported to its full extent anymore. The mod authors show up on the Nexus every now and then but there hasn’t been an update to the mod in over a year or so.

I’d love to see animated manes and tails! I spoke to the author of the Manes and Tails Addon and he said that isn’t likely, though. I suppose it’s just too much work. If they could at least get the manes looking a bit more like realistic hair rather than the marshmallow-y textures they use now…I’d definitely be more inclined to give CaN another shot.

It’s cool to see that people are still using it, though!

They could always use some other animation, like from the rad deers or something similar to the giddy-up buttercup mount mod. Or if you’re really desperate you could always pull the resources from Skyrim. But it wouldn’t be able to be uploaded to Nexus if you do that. It’s a similar situation to the one pertaining to the Dragon Age Ogre mod that was taken down for Skyrim that ripped all the assets from Dragon Age and replanted them into Skyrim. Or you could be like the guy who made pony companions for Fallout 3/New Vegas and just make custom actions while using a base animation set from the game.

It would be nice, but the only asset that the ponies would be able to use are the dogs animations. Since Skyrim has actual horses in it, the mods for that game can get away with using proper equine animations.

@Bonberjean

There are no mane/tail options for Flurry Heart with the current version of CaN Manes/Tails mod. It would be nice to see that in the future though!

I would love to see a mod that adds non anthro ponies into Fallout 4 like how Skyrim did in a handful of mods.
