I definitely agree about that. I don’t blame everyone for that though. Like I said, it’s really easy to yell at a bunch of words on the screen. I speak from personal experience from my own mistakes of causing shitstorms when I was a teenager on the Internet.

I think you’re being a bit harsh on us, given that only four or so actually got confrontational (one of whom apologized). It think everyone got a little hot-headed over this, and second the call to just leave this mess behind.

To be fair, if someone else was requesting something and got “what’s the matter, flankhurt” in return, then he’d probably get provoked too. It’s like poking a stick at someone during a conversation.
 
Also, you don’t have to stop the RPs. You just have to not let them escalate to several pages. A light RP reply here and there is fine, but not if it takes soooo many pages.
 
I mean the RP here alone was +8 pages. That’s a lot to filter through for anyone else viewing the comments section.

It’s a fucking privilege to have artists allow their stuff here, and a god damn honor when they deign to actually use the site. I cannot believe any of you thought it was a good idea to antagonize him or bitch out like this. And then we have people whine that anons are the bad ones.

Also, flitering pictures due to disagreeing opinions or grudges is, to put it bluntly, stupid. It’s not that hard to put water under the bridge in order to not be reminded of bad things every time you see a picture. Seriously.

Also, it was totally unneccesary for Weavor to mention the event on his tumblr. That was just another catilyst in the reaction.

Not to be a buzzkill or anything, but is it really okay to have sexuall suggestive roleplay in the comments of safe pictures?
 
Also, butthurt or not, replying to an artist with comments like “you saddlesore” is very disrespectful. I realize it’s easy to be an asshole to text when there’s no face present, but do watch what you say. I don’t want to see the Derpibooru community be put in a bad light and have to perform some major damage control.

Indeed, it never did so. And even though I disagree with Weaver’s request, it was still simple enough for us to obey. Also, remember that after Weaver inquired us to stop, we did so, albiet with some flankhurt.
