I wouldn’t call their portrayal here super villain like, though it definitely is cliche. Besides I doubt Sandy will let Scoots keep the baby after all this(she did steal it from the hospital after all), Lightning Blitz will likely be adopted by a couple in Ponyville so that way Scoots can still visit him.
