At least for the MLP Vector Club, we try to stay to iTunes or DVD releases to be consistent. But the Mirror Magic short in those formats is wayyyyy off color. Even official website media is off from the iTunes releases.
 
But I do think that what’s at play with some of the other shorts is a CYrYb to RBG misconversion, and can work from that.

The thing is all Better Together shorts and Forgotten Friendship before the beach shorts are exposed (brightened) compared to Discovery Family GO releases/ TV airing.
 
While Choose Your Ending shorts have the original color palette while DF is muted….
 
Actually we DO have proper PONY Sunset colors via the official site if Mirror Magic and Forgotten Friendship doesn’t count.

Thanks, but I see that Forgotten Friendship has one good color segment and the rest are all muted (spot-checking the various languages) We’re still missing a good source for proper Sunset pony colors :(

No, no one is copying you. If you checked… the English version of all beach shorts on YouTube is darkened/desaturated while the International versions is the original color palette just like the Discovery Family GO releases.
Just replacing your GiF with better quality one (the coloration)
