I didn’t even know where the naming committee was for the past 2 years until I mentioned a name or saw a suggestion and you pointed me to it just this season.

I don’t always pay close attention to new characters needing names, but I did this time because it seemed like a hot commodity. The best time to make a name poll on /r/listofponies is when people are actively excited about naming a pony that wasn’t named by Hasbro.

Above my head; talk to ImperfectXIII about it, but I don’t see any kind of official collaboration between the wiki and Derpibooru anytime soon, or even how that would happen. What we at the wiki normally do is after a name becomes popular on Derpibooru and is given a character tag, a name poll for the wiki on /r/listofponies is made, and the admin posting makes an entry directly referencing the popular Derpibooru name, which then can be upvoted by other people so that it also becomes the wiki’s placeholder name on the big List of ponies - This list is subdivided into Earth mares, Earth stallions, Unicorns, Pegasi, non-ponies (which is further subdivided into smaller lists for each species), and other types of characters, like foals, or mentioned (unseen) characters.
 
And yes, it is always my goal to make sure Derpibooru tags and wiki placeholder names match up. It drives me crazy when they don’t, which has happened occasionally.

Despite treating the packages as bad as real delivery services do, note that the cake arrived in perfect condition. Derpy was the only one to ruin the outside card.
