Rose Quartz is the older of the two sisters, she is very outgoing and isnt afraid to have a little fun with others, her hobby is making jewelry with the crystals she gets from her sisters occupation. She falls into a sadistic relationship with Midnight Moon, living with her along with her sister and Dark, having a daughter with Dark named Aqua Aura. She is very protective of her family, and does not tolerate disrespect very well.
 
Bright Quartz, the younger sister who has made a name for herself as a healer with crystals. She is very shy around stallions, but ends up falling in love and marrying a stallion named Dark moving in with him an his other wife Midnight Moon, she is stronger than her sister from her life of digging up rocks and at times is braver than her to, but normally a very shy and timid pony, who prefers the path of least conflict. She has a son with Dark named Penumbra,
 
a few years after Bright and Rose have their foals, they leave Midnight in her castle to live a more normal life with Dark and their children, to let their kids live a normal life with other ponies.
