I <3 baths
OK I think I might have figured this out here:
First the tub: while it is obviously hard to put it to scale, the average clawfoot tub holds 40-60 gallons of water. For sake of simplicity, let’s make it 50.
Next the pudding: per a recipe I found online, combine 1 pack of Jello brand mix with 2 cups of warm milk. Milk weighs in at about 1/2 pound per cup, and the pudding pack is 5 oz. so each pack would make ~1.3 pounds of pudding. 50 gallons divided by this weight equates to about 38 batches of pudding needed to fill the tub. Milk’s average price is 3.16, and 10 gallons will be needed for the mix (38/4 = 9.5 needed) so that’s $31.60. add the Jello mix ($1.39) for 38 batches = $52.82 bringing the grand total cost for the stunt to $84.42 before taxes! Man that’s a lot to pay for this! (NOTE: some calculations may be incorrect, and some rounding has been done…we are human you know…)
