But every character can be shipped, and there is fuel all over the place for every Twilight ship: The entire Mane 6, Trixie, Sunset Shimmer, Princess Celestia, Tempest Shadow, Flash Sentry (Human), and Starlight Glimmer.
 
I apologize if I missed a Ship, but Twilight gets around in this fandom.

Canterlot Wedding was such a success look where we are now…. so nothing is finished until it is finished.

They don’t currently have those kind of feelings for each other, but one can’t deny that they have one of the closest bonds in the show, and it has only gotten stronger as their friendship has gone on.
 
They may not be in that kind of relationship now, but this is a show where characters progress and grow. It feels like just yesterday the Crusaders where trying to earn their marks.
 
I’m not saying it will happen, but I will say don’t rule it out.

They’ve already announced it will end with Season 9, so we know it’s already coming to a close.
 
I don’t think they’ve been planning any kind of relationship with any of these main characters. Homosexuality is more accepted in media, but this show tends to just focus on friendship.
 
As for the colors, with Cadence and Shining, it looks like they combined pink and blue to make purple, while this new one say “buck it, it’s just going to be pink.” They didn’t even put a hint of blue in there.
 
I also want to mention that Korra was a solid story. It was focused on the characters and their relationships. This show is slice of life and focuses on episodes individually rather than the story as a whole.

I think it’s just a matter of “And then they combined their powers to solve the problem.”
 
Their horns are shown close together to imply they’re using combining their powers, and since this is a show for little kids, they have to make that extra clear.
 
The sphere of energy extending out to blast away the enemy is a trope the show is just reusing. It’s an easy way for characters to quickly clean up a big mess, as they did with the Changelings. It’s like the light shooting up into the sky to open up a portal you see in every movie these days.
 
I think this is less a subtle way of implying a relationship and more a use of an old trope to neatly and quickly wrap up an episode. Besides, I haven’t seen much to imply any deep bond between the two of them beyond friends. Even then it’s mostly just told to us, like during Starlight’s graduation.
 
You can see it as whichever one you want, but this show isn’t exactly known for it’s long-term subtlety and putting that much meaning into detail.

I don’t give a fuck about anyone else’s opinion: TwiStarlight =would be the sweetest, most cutest ending for the show if they go down that route.
 
I’d love it if they have a few episodes here and there where they deepen their relationship even further/go through some development together.

That..would be an unexpected direction to take and IMO that’ll kinda came out of nowhere,there is nothing that indicated those 2 have feelings for each other (plus when it comes to Starlight she’s more sorta ship-teased with Sunburst)

As sad as it is to say, I have a feeling the show may be reaching the end of it’s run. Twilight opening her school to spread friendship throughout the land feels like such an end-game thing.
 
I have a feeling they’ve been planning this since the very introduction of Starlight’s character. Perhaps they want to end the show on a Korra note.
 
Homosexuality has become more and more accepted in mainstream media and it isn’t in the realm of impossibility. Let’s just remember that it’s only a show and not go rabid if it doesn’t happen.
