Indeed, and a loss makes sense as well considering all of the drama and infighting among /mlp/ fans around the roster polls - it fits about as well as everything else that happened in the cup.
Overall, I’m glad that the cup ended the way it did. (even if /mlp/ doesn’t get to meme about actually having 3 stars just yet)

Yeah, if we had to lose, that was about the most perfect loss imaginable. What a ride.

Hey, at least /mlp/ rounded out their trophy collection with two golds, a silver, and a bronze >>1671923; and even though we lost, it happened in the most spectacular way possible: scoring a goal to tie the final at the very last moment (which made for two 4cc firsts: the first ever 120’+ equalizing goal and the first ever Elite Cup final to go to penalties), then going through 10 rounds of penalties which ended with HI ANON! kicking the ball directly into the goalie’s hands - something that is perfectly in line with the meme the player is based off of
