It’s actually plausible enough that she did want the stone to break with how horrified she became as she watched Sunset lose her memories of her friends right in front of her as well as how regretful and apologetic she was once the stone was destroyed
The climax could have believably been resolved by Wallflower destroying the stone herself if she was aware that doing so would reverse the stone’s effects and there wasn’t the ever-present obligation to pull out the friendship laser
