Does it include all attraction to cartoon characters, or does it only include attraction to cartoon characters because they are cartoon characters? Wouldn’t that also make her an autophile?

It’s really hard to tell if that’s actually something that exists or just a misinterpretation of what was actually going on in whichever patient this was studied in….

This one seems pretty normal to me to be honest - I mean for one, 100% of everyone here secretly fits this description to some degree at least. Fictional characters are, after all, just an idea. An idea of a person can be pretty deep depending on one’s imagination, and the writing quality for said character at its source. I mean even back in the day women would openly swoon over characters like James Bond, but it wasn’t explicitly for the actor - it was more for the kind of personality he portrayed. It’s not like any fans of celebrities actually know these people in real life. The difference is one character is physically portrayed by someone who actually exists, while the other may only be a drawing portrayed by the voice of someone. I don’t think it’s much of a problem so long as you’re mentally aware that they’re both fictional.
