Queen Bumble and her people were a species of giant sapient wasps who lived in ancient Equestria.
The newly born changelings who fed on ponies, went at war with them because they couldn’t let them threaten the ponies by devouring their food. The wasps were superior in number but the changelings had magic and easily defeated them and drove them underground.
Now that the reformed changelings are disorganized and weakened, queen Bumble attacked them to take her revenge and reclaim the place that was her before her defeat. Thorax sent a messenger to ask the ponies for help, but he got lost on the way and ended in he dragon lands were he met Ember.
Ember tried to bring dragons with her to help the changelings, but because she’s still a new dragon lord and not fully respected yet, they all refused save for her father who didn’t want to let her go alone.
Queen Bumble had proved to be a stronger opponent than expected and even Torch had trouble to deal with her, her poison could easily kill an adult dragon, and although Torch didn’t die thanks to his size, he could barely move and went blind after being stung.
In the end, thanks to Thorax and Torch working together they managed to destroy queen Bumble and made the wasp flee underground once more.

“There’s a Time and Place, Pharynx” is literally the name of a fanfic I wrote, and it’s about Pharynx exploding at Thorax and Ember for being too affectionate in front of him xD
We need more Pharynx comics.

On an unrelated note, it’s unfortunate that there haven’t really been any new images with both Pharynx and speech bubbles in them since this image.
True, but the voices of Spike and Twilight have done voice work for free, heck Cathy even did a Spike voice “Yeah, Yeah, I heard you..mom.”
I felt as though if I had recorded it, I’d be sort of stealing, in a way, Bill’s services. It was already very nice of him to have read it with me, but recording it would have been awkward and taken more time. I realize he is already being paid to be there by the convention, but people visiting for autographs are also indirectly paying the VIPs: For either autographs, or a photo, or both. Asking a voice actor to record a voice line at their autograph table, no matter how short or if you give them additional money or not, or forfeit either an autograph or a picture in exchange for a recording, is awkward, I think.
Plus, a big autograph room usually isn’t the best place to record something, as there’s usually the noise of other people, unless you go at the very end of the session right before they’re about to go on to their next activity and there’s hardly anyone in the autograph room.
Would have loved to have seen that, too bad it wasn’t recorded.

I wanted to show this to him because it’s the best piece of Pharynx art I could find that has speech bubbles he could read.

She’s not, I first intended to have her fighting Torch in the background, but I couldn’t make it look good so I erased them and focused the image on the trio.
