Another request, and probably the last I’ll be doing. Looking at actual pictures of muddy shoes from the series I decided I didn’t need the mud lines with them.
Rarity had to take a detour to school while it was raining hard. The rain stopped when she was less than halfway there but she had to walk through the mud. So, she got mud all over her shoes.

Rarity; I am going to play in the rain , I have my purple boots to splashing in muddy puddles and my umbrella to to keep me dry from getting wet.

Rarity’s Rainbooms Shoes in Mud: When Rarity got her Rainbooms outfit on and was going to the concert, in the hard rain, she walked to it. After the rain was stopped, Rarity almost to the concert and notice mud. She had no choice but had to walk through mud. So, Rarity got sticky mud all over her pink platform shoes and leaving muddy footprints.
Rarity’s Muddy Carousel Boutique Shoes (from Display of Affection): When Rarity was late for the Carousel Boutique work, she rushed to it and notice the sticky mud. Rarity walks through the sticky mud, getting mud all over her black heeled shoes and almost stuck. But, she made it, leaving muddy footprints and washed her shoes cleaned up and ready to make outfits.
How’s these?
Rarity: Well, Spike, here’s what happened: I took a detour to school and it was raining hard. When I was halfway to School, the rain stopped but there was mud in my way. I had no choice but to go through it. I almost got my boots stuck but I pulled them out with my feet and continued to Canterlot High. At last I arrived and even though I had mud on my boots, I went into School leaving muddy footprints all over the floor.
Spike: Wow, cool story.
