“Ahhh, and look who it is – our favorite brown-nosing, busy body who can’t just not learn to not say anything.”
So I can’t defend myself? That’s a pretty silly thing to criticise me for.

“It’s not that you can’t do it, it’s that you refuse to do it!”
This means nothing and you are grabbing at straws to try and demean me and my responses in any way you can. Not to mention, I literally just said that my commissions info is outdated.

Thanks for being so condescending and arrogant in the next few bits by the way. Instead of actually trying to add to the discussion, all you feel like doing is being cocky and high and mighty, while grasping at straws to keep yourself afloat or mocking my work like a two year old just to try and have your way.

Ahhh, and look who it is - our favorite brown-nosing, busy body who can’t just not learn to not say anything. I figured you’d turned up at some point. Granted, to give you some credit, you are correct - you didn’t directly say anything about this picture (this time), but that little snide remark kinda co-signs on it. And there’s also the fact that yes, you don’t need to be an expert at something to past as sensory judgement on something else. There is one drawback to critics: they judging something that’s only as arbitrary as something as ‘vision or ‘taste’. And even then, a critic would still offer the person some kind of solution to what upsets their pallet, so they have to have SOME kind of knowledge on what they’re judging! On that regard, let me correct myself: It’s not that you can’t do it, it’s that you refuse to do it!

Should I have stated that from the beginning? Yes. Does it matter, sort of if you’re really that much of a moral grandstander of a thing. Point being, weather it’s old info or not, the fact is that’s all the info I was given at the time and I don’t expect you to update it for me or anyone else, so that’s all I could go off of. But with this new info, that changes things. So I guess I’ll have to take a look at this pic and…

..ew. Okay…um…alright. This is…yeah, we’ll get back to that. <_<; Matter of fact, just do me a favor: if you can’t help the urge to reply to this ‘debate’, just PM me. Trust me, it’s for your own good.

Once again, I would like to say I’m sorry for making you feel that way. I’m not afraid to admit that I wake up every morning to check your artist tag to see if you posted anything new here. A lot of your art inspired me to write stories and do my own doodles, though they have a farts chance of looking a tenth as decent as the worst of your pieces.

take a look yourself, absolute trashSo bad.

Been a fan of yours for the longest time. super sorry.

“Even if he is right in some regard, the fact that he can’t even deliver on what he says about your anatomy tips is laughable at best.”
So basically what you’re saying is “he’s right but he can’t draw human anatomy therefor he can’t tell when human anatomy is wrong”. Don’t make me laugh. That argument is flawed in so many ways that people stop using it the second they see how blatantly stupid and wrong it is. A food critic doesn’t have to know how to cook to be a food critic.
On top of that, I never stated anything about the anatomy of the drawing myself, if you had actually read everything I said. All my notes about it were in reference to what someone else’s opinion was on it, and not my own.

Yes I’m snobby and rude when I first start out, but that’s a problem I’m aware of, and changes based on developments in the conversation.

The icing on the cake as well? That commissions info is outdated to all hell, as I can in-fact, draw and do human anatomy. https://i.imgur.com/klzsI9m.png

Man, forget Gyroido - he’s just a big barker with a small bite behind it. He tends to be rude and snobby himself with his comments then back into that passive talk whenever someone is calling him out on it. Even if he is right in some regard, the fact that he can’t even deliver on what he says about your anatomy tips is laughable at best.

You think I’m kidding? Check his commission profile and look what he won’t draw:

A guy who refuses to do human anatomy coach someone else on how to do human anatomy…yeah, but no. #FuckOuttaHereWitDatSon

On top of that, a bit to late to come back to this now, considering the amount of rendering you had to put behind it. Just means you’ll have to nail it right the next time…but not from Gyroido, that’s for sure!

Then just try not to take that stuff to heart. Plus, just because someone didn’t ask for help doesn’t mean they don’t want it; criticism is what’s great for improvement, especially when it’s legitimate, really well worded criticism.

Is the waist being too small something you want to improve? Then having people voice what they say about it and saying when it is can be great advice.
Is the waist being too small on purpose and something you intended? Then if comments come mentioning about it, feel free to tell them it was an intended artistic choice you made, and not telling them what they state or think is unnecessary.
People will give feedback regardless of if you ask for it, it’s the nature of voicing an opinion. It’s up to you how you respond to it. But regardless of the opinion, it should never be discarded.

@Gyroido
because im silly. I’m a person. And I hate that kind of comments. Is that even constructive? I don’t see why you’d comment something like that.
It makes me feel like I failed. That’s why I said it was unnecesary. When you want feedback like that, you ask for it. And then probably not a lot of people will help you. But now it’s already posted, I don’t see the sense. I myself see a lot of mistakes in another pics, and don’t comment because I know it’s useless. And that person didn’t ask for my “help”.
But indeed, a drama is even more useless. So yeah I should just try to not respond to nasty comments next time. I’m just so weak…

I respect the time and effort artists put into their work; where did I state I didn’t? (I literally just spent 14 hours on a drawing I did myself, I’m well aware of the effort and time and how much it means to artists.) What I did state however is that telling people that what they think about your work is unnecessary, is wrong.

You literally just can’t take any form of criticism or even little observational statements about your work that isn’t positive. Yes it sucks to have the first thing for someone to say about something you spent ages on be neutral or negative, but that’s something you have to deal with, instead of taking it to heart and jumping the gun on defending yourself over someone saying “the waist looks uncomfortable to me.” which isn’t even criticism of the work itself, it’s a personal preference statement that isn’t saying it’s good or bad.

Like you stated yourself, it’s that person’s personal preference. Why do you care enough to tell them it’s unnecessary to voice it?

@Gyroido
I actually forgot to put my post not anon, and you can’t change that afterwards, that’s why I clarified it later.
IT SUCKS BIG DEAL TO SPEND HOURS WORKING IN A PIC, TO READ AS FIRT COMMENT SOMEONE SAYING THAT THE WAIST WAS TOO THIN, WHEN THAT’S SOMEONE’S PERSONAL PREFERENCE. IT’S LIKE, WHY I WASTE SO MANY TIME AND EFORT IN MAKING APIC AS GOOD AS POSSIBLE, IF OTHER WILL ONLY SEE THE DEFECTS AND NOT THE EFFORT TIME AND LOVE SPENT ON IT?
And I will refund you ASAP. I don’t want to work for people that doesn’t respect the effort and time others put in their works.

@pia-chan
Yeah, maybe I will ask for a refund. Someone voicing their opinion is never “unnecessary”. It wasn’t harsh, nor was it meant with bad intent. Going anon to try and demean someone’s opinion is pretty pathetic, to be honest. It means you were saying something you didn’t want people to see you saying. And don’t go pulling the “that wasn’t me it was some random anon” card, because you took my response as a personal response.

I’ll take that refund, please. I’d like to commission artists who don’t go anon to call people’s opinions “unnecessary.”

Depth Dweller
Poor Spike couldn’t hold her breath as well as Rarity could, probably mostly owing to the fact Spike was just a kid compared to the unicorn, the couple swimming under the clear waters of the ocean together. The unicorn took his hand as they swam together, diving down into the depths.

With a worried glance, Rarity could see that the young drake was struggling to hold his breath for this long, they would have to surface soon as Rarity kicked her legs, gripping the hand of Spike tighter as his cheeks puffed up.

“Mmphgblbl!!” Spike struggled behind puffed up cheeks, kicking faster as his chest started to convulse.

Rarity looked at him and thought, “Hold on Spike, we’ll get back to the surface yet. Just stay close, Spikey-Wikey…”
