@GryusMechanum
That’s surprising, considering many (so-called) Sonic fans are complaining about it online. Not to mention the “Hooters” meme it spawned. (Because Hooters restaurants in Japan are sponsoring/ptomoting the game, no joke. Even offering Sonic’s trademark favorite food chili dogs.)
I haven’t played it yet, but admittedly “Super Mario Odyssey” looks much better.
@greaterlimits
Perhaps, there are similarities. Both fanbases are quite passionate about their respected series. Not to mention, both fanbases have fans that love making OCs/fan-characters, ’shipping the characters, hate any minor changes, and have fans divided on both earlier, and newer seasons/games. Among other things.
Granted, there are Super Mario OCs, (even Paper Mario ones) and such, but not as widespread.

Now people are going to get angry and bash Mario, and retro Sonic for that remark.
Still, from what I hear, some find “Forces” not bad. Can’t judge it as I haven’t played it, except the Mobile game versio, which is pretty good, but barely has anything to do with the console version, and is basically another runner game.
I like both Mario & Sonic, but “Odyssey” looks better to be honest. (I can’t play either yet, as I don’t have Switch.)
The “Forces” mobile game isn’t bad though.
It’s really not hard to find information on the game online. Unless you live in a country that limits worldwide internet access.
I must live under a rarity’s destiny, then. Can’t find too much info on it either, five days later.
