I think you’re confusing “Ms” with “Mrs”.
 
“Ms” can be used for both unmarried or married women.

You should research more. :)  
“Ms” can be used instead of “Miss” or “Mrs”, if you don’t know which one to apply to a woman. Though, some people simply prefer not to use “Ms” at all. In modern use, “Ms” is seen as a counterpart to “Mr”.
