Twi is not pessimistic per see, just very perfectionist and while often prone to stress, she can be fairly energetic at times, not like Akko of course.

True, but I’m guessing the comparison is supposed to be purely based on their appearances, not their personalities.
Akko is shit at magic; Twilight is a natural. Sure, Twi had to work at it but nothing in the way of Akko routinely blowing up the damn school. Akko is an optimist, Twi is a pessimist. They both have a temper. Akko is more like Rainbow Dash.
Lotte is shy, quiet, submissive, cares for small creatures and can speak their language. Who else can do that? Fluttershy.
