I think you need to read your own first words, “As I have my opinions, so to do you have yours.” stop trying to push your beliefs as better than ours, our opinions are our own and for me nothing you say will change how I see the new changeling designs, They look like a dog rainbow barfed and then started rolling in it while a twig or to got stuff on the fur of it’s head, for a dog that would look cute or adorable but in the case of these changelings it’s so fucking horrible that I have avoided any scene with more than just thorax(to not miss details I just listen to reviews and read synopsis on wiki), I can’t stand them and i’m not the only one, if you like them good for you but that doesn’t mean this is “pointless hate” it just means that we don’t like them and you obviously can’t take such an opinion so you try to make others see them like you do.

As I have my opinions, so to do you have yours. Everything in the human world is made from opinions, opinions define politics and therefore human life. I am simply trying to convince people of my opinions, and therefore slowly change the world to what I believe is better, just as others attempt to bend the wills of the masses using their opinions, and therefore change the world to what they believe is better. Those who don’t care about other’s opinions are only promoting anarchy and stagnation, if everybody didn’t care of another’s opinions then the political system and soon, all of civilization would fall apart…
 
Yet on the opposite side of the argument, there are those who’s opinions only cause conflict and chaos, those whom believe in anarchy and a destruction of the ruling class, those whom’s opinions will tear apart order. Therefore, those leaders who’s opinions have been proven to be the best for humanity must keep these destructive and radical ideas at bay. But a leader must enforce order without being branded an oppressor, because mankind carries with it an idea of liberty and freedom, and a right to their opinions… Opinions that have sometimes proven to cause chaos and destruction.
 
But… Opinions change over time, and usually if you show hard evidence that a person’s opinion is wrong/right, then they will start to question their opinions, something that can be both good, or bad. And then there are those whom refuse to accept that their opinion might be wrong, and while I admire their determination, holding on to something to the point where you cannot accept change, will cause further division and chaos within mankind.
 
In reality, no opinion is correct, just as no opinion is incorrect, each have their merits, and as I believe that my ideas are the best, so to do you believe that your ideas are the best. However you must understand the fluidity of human nature, and that all things change. If you ignore this, then you are preventing the march of progress and the evolution of the human psyche.

And I respect that you have a differing opinion on this. But just because you dismiss the lore, story, and most everything else, does not mean that the ‘hate for the new changelings’ is unreasonable.  
Just because you like their designs, does not mean that everyone else does, too.  
Just because you believe that differences are ‘always good’ does not mean that everyone else thinks the same way.
 
The disdain for the changedlings is anything but ‘pointless hate’. Are some people over the top about it? Sure. But that happens with everything.

Yes. This. If anything, a transformation redemption will be more akin to ‘replacement of character’ than actual redemption.

If Chrysalis has to become “beautiful” to act kind, then her redemption would longer have any effect on me.  
The point is that Chrysalis is an average, odd-looking creature, heck, I’d say she’s sort of “ugly” for pony standards.  
If she changed into a good person but retained her appearance she would feel prettier even though she looks the same, cause she’d be beautiful inside.  
But if she automatically changes into a “pretty princess” the first moment she feels joy, it will feel like she got replaced by a new character instead of growing from her mistakes.
