We do need blood when aroused. Lips swell, the clit does a bit too. And women can experience what is called a “sex flush” which is the result of increased blood flow to the skin. So no, you’re not the only ones who need blood when aroused
There’s a difference between blood flow as a result of sexual stimulation but is otherwise secondary. And blood flow which is required for sex to begin with, as with a male.
If the blood flow and the swelling somehow did not occur, it would not stop a woman from having sex, or having an orgasm. Whereas with a male, it’s a requirement for an erection.

I think it might be at least partially dependent upon the individual person–and the mood.
Someone who isn’t relaxed, who is worried about things, may not be able to get “into” what’s happening enough to enjoy it in the first place. This may or may not have anything to do with the popularity in certain cultures of combining sex with certain, uh, shall we say, anxiety-reducing/inhibition-reducing substances.

He’s trying to explain why women are supposedly able to keep a clear head during sex and think about work, while men supposedly can’t multitask like that during sex.
@Background Pony #543F
Quite true, but considering the same also happens to men in addition to the blood needed to make the penis erect, mens’ bodies generally redirect more blood away from the rest of the system, including the brain. Of course, as with any biological function, individual experience will often vary greatly.

NUT
they both laughed and then came shouting “COWABUNGA”
But did she say “cool, but crude” or “cool, but rude”?
a friend of mine said his girlfriend started thinking of the ninja turtle theme when having sex and started singing out of nowhere
Mmmmmm, no, I’m going to go with the classic mythology of sucking blood.
Nope, vampires.
You’re thinking vampire bats.
Vampires don’t suck; they scrape, and then lick!
Better suck down some extra blood, I guess.
So what you’re saying is, female vampires are good to go, while male vampires are impotent?
Heehee! Not heard that reference in too long. n.n

I also remember this being how the sex scene in Utena went.

I can’t figure out the point of this comment.
