That is true and Celestia’s response didn’t make any sense. Twilight said she can’t send Starlight to “Celestia-knows-where” and Celestia responds that it was an appropriate expression “for even I don’t know the answer.”
Good point. Though Celestia is one lame goddess if she is.
Also, “God Knows”, “Who knows”… You see?
Come to think of it, people say “God knows” because God is supposed to be omniscient. It doesn’t make any sense to say it with Celestia’s name. What am I missing?
Even in the season seven premiere, Twilight substitutes “God knows” with “Celestia knows”.
At the time, no. Heck, I’m guilty of that. But this image is three days old and we’re on the seventh season.
I just think that if there Were gods/goddesses in the show, I believe there are many more beings worthy of the title(s) than the princesses.

You said it all. People seem to have trouble keeping their headcanon out of their interpretation of the cartoon.
And now I sound like I’m taking this way too seriously.
Hence why I even cringe when fans refer to the princesses or even alicorns in general as gods/goddesses. I don’t have that huge of a problem with it if it it’s part of a fanfic, but it it’s when they refer the the show versions as goddesses/gods that makes me cringe
But Celestia can make a spell to protect the Elements from him. There is no “god” in the cartoon. Only the writers and their lack of interest in taking care with this sort of details.
