Got an abridged version? I am tired of being told to read books that I end up dropping out the window. In fact I hate it when right wingers ask me to read Atlas Shrugged for that same reason. I tried, it was tedious.

Capitalism is the manifestation of reward and economic freedom. Many forms of government allow it because it works. In fact even in the absence of a government it develops organically.
It causes no problems because it does not interfere. However people cause problems which are then blamed on it.

It is not a misallocation of resources, it is the freedom of doing whatever one desires with the rewards of one’s effort and the fact that not every region will have the same situation.

I would rather not allow some bootlicker to give my fair reward to someone else in the name of equality. You are not entitled to someone else’s resources without offering something in return.

Try this on for size. In a world that produces nearly 3000 calories of food per person per day, over 7.5 million people starve to death every year. About half of them are children. 800 million people currently suffer from malnutrition. The GDP of the U.S. and the EU combined is about $35 trillion. The cost of feeding the entire world would be about $31 billion.

In the absence of drugs and vaccines that are trivially cheap to manufacture, millions of people die of treatable illnesses every year, because it isn’t profitable to sell them life-saving medicine. All of this death and suffering is a result of misallocation of resources under capitalism. These numbers are better now than they’ve ever been, so if you go back a couple decades, even more people were dying.

Add them up year to year, and capitalism eclipses the most inflated death tolls for all communism ever about once every decade.

First. The difference, as I explained, is that capitalism is NOT a government system and therefore they won’t starve because of national policy.

That does not mean there are no people who have starved for acts of injustice in capitalist economies. After all one of the problems is the unbridled corporate activity which the government is supposed to prevent from harming the people. Unlike in communism, in capitalism death is not caused by the policies, but by the exploitation of issues.

Second. If I am particularly using the term national socialism is because that diminishes the ideological power of such a genocidal power. That is also why I don’t say Stalinism or Volchevism. It is communism and national socialism. Both are genocidal ideals which for some reason have grown popular nowadays.

So according to you, if a death happens under Communism, it’s Communism’s fault, but if a person dies under Capitalism, it’s because they didn’t pull themselves up by the bootstraps hard enough or they were just plain unlucky.

>national socialism

Tell me, do you get confused by the term, “Buffalo wings?”

Those things are unrelated to capitalism, and actually capitalist is the solution.

Lack of clean water is the product of a polluted environment, which was a threat long before humans came to be.

Starvation happens in communism too (Ask any USSR survivor) and it is something unrelated to capitalism. It happens because animals need food to live and they don’t always acquire it. Trust me, you can still hunt for free in many places, and wasn’t Maduro’s suggestion to eat one’s own pet related to socialism?

People die of curable diseases because of several reasons and not merely poverty. And in fact capitalism reduces poverty when unimpeded and regulated.

And… Damn… Malaria is entirely unrelated to capitalism, unless you will claim mosquitoes are born out of capitalism.

Look. Sincerely I am not sure why would anyone defend genocidal doctrines such as national socialism and communism, but at least don’t go repeating the most ridiculous lies to others.

BTW, given the flag there, I hereby consider you a hostile.

I am pretty much sure that is not capitalism. After all capitalism, unlike communism, is not a government system. It is the freedom to do with one’s effort whatever one pleases.
I would rather have the chance to climb up than getting send to a gulag for doing so.

If you think what’s happening in the US isn’t capitalism, then don’t complain when other people talked about states like China and North Korea and say that it’s not true Socialism.
It is the freedom to do with one’s effort whatever one pleases.
Does that involve doing whatever I stated weeks ago?

As opposed to, say, capitalism, which has encouraged countless corporations to contribute to the runway greenhouse effect and accelerate the melting of the polar ice caps, thus dooming even more species to extinction?

Or the growing divide between the large class of poor people and small class of rich people by concentrating the wealth in a handful of greedy arseholes?
