True. Something like this does require a more Darker and Edgier theme to it compared to the series, but going so far as for the Storm King to have something with the power of the Cockatrice’s stare in it might be overkill.
Actually, I think the darker tone works well for this movie.
Yeah, and the only good thing about it is that at least at the end everything will come out alright and the Princesses will be restored to flesh and blood again so they’re not left like that if Season 8 includes anything from the movie in it.
This movie is clearly going a much more ominous direction than the show.
I can handle Celestia being imprisoned in a cocoon or being flung into Tartarus since she’s still going to be fine in those cases, but being turned from flesh and blood into a stone statue by something with the power of the Cockatrice’s stare? That’s enough to send my heart into my throat.
