@Derpy Whooves
I believe that the “ideology” that raakamagna was talking about is the ideology connected with not eating meat. People do not consider vegetarianism an ideology, but through people like Vegan Gains and other vegans who attack those who eat meat and animal products have caused people to perceive being a vegan as being of an ideology.
Now then, I hope that answers everyone questions so that the conversation can come to an end.
@Darth Sonic
The image says “I really miss eating meat”, not “vegan”. “Vegan” isn’t the only kind of “don’t eat meat”. And, again - meta conversations belong in the forums, folks.
It’s a bit all over the place, between about 20 and 30% depending on which source and what country the source is in, but @raakamagna is very correct when they say this is “being derailed”.
If someone wanted to create a forum thread to discuss vegetarianism and its prevalence amongst humans, that would be interesting, and would prevent this thread from being derailed even further.

Although I would be more willing to trust the data in an advertisement on Snopes before I’d trust any of the data in some of our user’s heads, no.
@thps48
You do realize that the eggs we eat aren’t fertilized, right?
Normal chicken eggs are about as much murder as a woman menstruating is murder. I’ve never met someone who would argue that an unfertilized egg is an independent life, and I doubt I ever will.

No idea what that means. I’m assuming it’s common knowledge what chicken eggs are, so if there’s is an expanded explanation of your comment, that’d be fairly beneficial. <3<
Vegans don’t eat any animal products. This includes eggs, milk, cheese, butter, and anything else made from an animal, whether it resulted in the death of the animal or not. Whereas a vegetarian will.

You know what you must do twilight
Applejack sure know about the unrivaled taste or glorious ham. o3o
Yup. Because one of the posts here actually attacked all those who eat meat.

And even then, we need statistics before making such claims. Facts matter.
Vegan and vegetarian are totally different
If I had to go vegan… idk what the fuck I’d do… I’d probably kill myself or something
I’m vegetarian because I don’t like meat…. but I fucking love cheese and I just couldn’t give that up :/
Maybe it wouldn’t be that extreme… but I’d definitely go a little crazy

… Really? 30% of the population is Vegan? You realize Vegan and vegetarian are not the same thing, right?
Honestly, I disagree with your statment that this particular thread is off topic, but you’re a mod so I’m not going to press the issue.

Can I ask for your source regardless?

Did Snopes give you that BS statistic?
It’s actually over 30%. Lrn2internet.

Which is why I’m only vegetarian and not vegan… I just couldn’t get myself to go vegan… noooope
