There may be some debate over the application of the tag, but if it really bothers you, just remember: at least this isn’t e621. Unlike there, we actually have a say in stuff like this here, even if we end up overruled by a majority.

That discussion is still ongoing in other areas. The crux of the issue is that images created to cater to that tag are highly offensive to many people and are therefore filtered by many people. Those filters shouldn’t be blocking innocent stuff like this.

The difference between foot fetish and vore is that one, because it’s necessarily apart of every creature requires specific focus, while the other defines an act. There was a big discussion a while back about this that ultimately ruled no change.

Steps are being taken to disassociate things like this from that tag, because it’s a highly contentious issue.
It shouldn’t be tagged as vore, for the same reason not every image with feet counts as foot fetish.

Literally anything involving one living being encasing another creature is vore of some kind. It’s why there’s been so much trouble trying to create a proper tag for stuff like this where, I mean, yeah, if you’re into it, this is something you’re looking to find, but even if you’re not into it, it’s nothing mundane people are going to be going all “pass the eye bleach please” about.
