It’s actually a wonderful nod to the original concepts too, that Pinkie would be the pegasus, and Fluttershy the earth pony.
 
And I’m fairly sure it’s confirmed now. Pinkie appeared in her comic and episode, and Fluttershy didn’t.

I don’t know, she struck me as much more like Pinkie than Fluttershy. I mean, besides it being Pinkie telling the story, Somnambula is very exuberant, wacky and extroverted. Fluttershy has a much more reserved personality.
