Maleficent must’ve taken Sunset Shimmer, the human five, and most of the Canterlot High Students since she found out that they could foil her plans.
Spike, Cadence, and Shining Armor found Sunset Shimmer and the human five in Maleficent’s dungeon. They explained that they need their help to rescue Twilight. Sunset might need to prove herself that her friendship with Twilight was true since she would have to face dangers on her way to Twilight’s castle and defeat Maleficent and break her curse that is on Twilight. They would have to free the other students in order to help.
