Description

Here’s another request from my watcher 736berkshire. He wanted me to make a drawing of Fluttershy trying to unlock a cage that Rarity and Applejack are trapped in, at the bottom of the ocean, as their Equestria Girls selves. He gave me links to the swimsuits he wanted them in too. So, I went ahead and came up with this.

Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy were at the beach one day having fun by the ocean. But soon, Applejack notices a cage by the dock and the three of them went to investigate it. Rarity and Applejack look around the inside of the cage while Fluttershy stood outside, fearing something bad might happen. “Relaxing, darling,” reassured Rarity, “There’s nothing here that’s too bad.” “But what if the cage drops in the water with you still inside?”, said Fluttershy. “It won’t happen.” replied Applejack. “We’ll be out of this soon enough.”

Just then, a strange force pushes the cage into the ocean and locks Applejack and Rarity inside. Fluttershy screams as she sees her friends sink to the bottom. Feeling all frantic, Fluttershy finds the key to the cage, and with a few big breathes, she dives into the ocean. Rarity and Applejack were trying to find a way to escape the cage. And soon, the two see Fluttershy swimming towards them with the key in hand. Fluttershy, as quickly as possible, tries to unlock the cage, but her fears began to overtake her. Applejack stands by to give Fluttershy comfort and courage, while Rarity tries to hold her breath a little longer.

At last, Fluttershy unlocks the cage and the three quickly reached to surface, gasping for air and hacking out the water from their lungs. “What in the hay happen?” Applejack wanted to know. “I don’t know,” Rarity said, “But now my hair is all wet.” “Maybe we should speak with Sunset Shimmer,” Fluttershy spoke up, “She’ll know what to do.” And the three swim out of the ocean and walked away from the beach.

(Note: When I first drew it, I had only a basic outline for the cage since there’s a lot to it. But it became more complicated when doing it in Photoshop, since I added the back of the cage, hinges and locks to the rest of it. And it was tough to get though. But, I feel I did a fine job.)

Originally drawn in pencil. Colors, lighting, shading, filters, bubbles, and cage done in Photoshop.
