It’s really apparent, too, when one goes back to watch older seasons. She’s definitely not the same pony anymore.
I always found the arguments against her development episodes flimsy, as not only are her flaws pretty crippling and hard to overcome, most episodes approach the assertiveness lessons from different angles and attack different parts of her shyness.
Ever since season two there have been many instances where she applies her lessons in casual ways among her friends, the bigger obstacle being random unknowns.
Indeed. one of the best fluttershy moments in season 7 so far!
