Judging by the massive rectangular window the sun comes in at the start and the fact that her ‘bedroom’/loft has a smaller, square window, she’s gotta be in one of the top rooms. I’m thinking two bedrooms and then a shared kitchen and maybe living-room below.

And it’s not tree shaped.

Sunset’s house there is what’s known as a “brownstone apartment” or “row house”. You find them all over the place in big cities in the eastern US. They’re cheap, probably 2 or 3 bedrooms and 1 or 1 1/2 baths. Usually the entire block is lined with them, but here it looks like the surrounding ones were torn down and replaced by commercial buildings.
 
So yeah, Sunset’s living in the slums. That’s about the cheapest housing you’re going to get without relying on roommates to help pay the rent.

Going by the layout of her room, we got two rooms in the top, and two on the bottom. Her bedroom is on the first floor, on the top right window.

I kinda wonder, is the door we see on the outside the same one door we see inside of Sunset’s apartment? Is the whole thing a single room, not counting the bathroom?
