Maybe Discord put up a perception field which makes ponies think what they’re watching and hearing is a normal orchestral concert. :3

Poor Octavia, it’s like the Grand Galloping Gala all over again. Come to think of it, I guess it could be said that she has about as much reason (maybe more) as Blue Nile to inflict bottom-stinging vengeance on not just Rarity, but the rest of the Mane 6 (which I think excludes Twilight, who just stood there by Celestia. Unless getting the others invited in the first place counts?) that made a mess one what was probably the biggest night of her career. There’s certainly been a few fanfics exploring the concept, minus the spanking.
 
Though come to think of it, she could just as well be the one to administer Blue’s comeuppance if she ever gets wind of what’s happening backstage.
