Outspoken my good sir, not troll at all, not my thing and you are totally right, I do analyze things way more than I should, this is a double edged sword of sorts for me, not a thing that I enjoy either, but I get you. It will not be easy, but I will try my best to be brief as well, so rest assured on that aspect, no hard feelings at all.

At this point, I don’t know if your just outspoken (and very polite to some degree while doing it), or a troll. I’m gonna keep this brief, because I’m a little tired of the long winded discussion this has formed.

Nothing justifies what Blue Nile is doing because she is what the title states: one major sore loser. I actually felt bad for when we finally found out who she was, but her actions are totally biased, the fact tha Rarity is one of the elements of harmony and usually gets what she wants for doing little to nothing only angers her even more, but that is no reason to justify her actions, she is a sore loser who blames her for everything. You know my dear Blue Nile, that there are other ways to solve problems other than spanking, right? Are you going to torture anyone who crosses paths with you? How can Rarity and her friends be this dumb? Well people, most characters do not look that out of their roles but some changes are done here and there, it is all done for the sake of the story, Blue Nile gets her biased revenge for the purpose of the comic and that applies to everything else, Steve and Mina do this kind of things, a comic without spanking is just useless for them, so everything is done in that one direction.
Are you going to torture someone just because that person is annoying? Well that work just for this timeline, Rarity spent a whole month locked in her own house and then wanted to have a normal life, like all of us after something she endured in the first chapter, I wonder if Blue Nile would hate her as much as she does if she was just another common mare like her, chances are that it will still happen, remember people this is all done for the sake of the comic, the canon timeline is just not fully respected all the time. Bottom line, Blue Nile is just what the title states and she is seconds away from being a monster in all the extention of the word, if you are really going to do something like this to someone just because you lost a contest, no offense but you need help and this is no joke at all.

I was referring to Rarity spoiling herself, and I don’t think the nature of the show (Friendship is Magic) covers having all of one’s problems solved through rainbow lasers and convenient twists of fate resolving everything in one’s favor, no one else but the privileged few receiving any such blessing.
I don’t think sexually torturing someone over a jealous misunderstanding qualifies as spoiling herself, and the Element Bearers tend to get what they want because of the nature of the show and, well, nine times out of ten what the other person in these issues wants tends to be pretty dickish. Nile actually has the same issue Dukat in Deep Space Nine had; the few funny and human moments overshadowed the heinous things in the eyes of the audience.
Plus, while Rarity’s actions may seem in character on a surface level, they lack some of HER more endearing moments to make her seem like JUST the stupid vapid popular girl cliche that she was designed to subvert.
Long story short: Blue Nile is a hentai protagonist. She makes the sexy stuff happen, but she is by no means a good person.

Really? Because I found Blue’s brief, humanizing moments (her reaction after snapping the straps on her own hand and her general demeanor after she’d started talking to Rarity) in the previous story to be pretty natural and a little endearing. I’m not exactly rooting for her in the long run, because her grudge seems to be based partly on a misunderstanding of what actually happened in the fashion show, but given that I can’t say what I’m seeing is totally out of character for Rarity and the Element Bearers tend to get everything they want in the end anyway, I’m not really sympathizing with Rarity much either.
Her pompous, selfish routine does seem to be laid on a little thick (like the others’ stupidity earlier), but after a month of hiding, I can kind of see her spoiling herself for a while and it’s by no means “too much to overcome” for some of us.

It doesn’t help that Blue Nile is written rather unambiguously as a smug and petty cunt throughout all of this, so the fear for Rarity is layered with an intense dislike of the villain. Amusingly, I think Circe tried to write Rarity as more annoying to make us feel she “deserved” this, but Nile’s silly motivations and bitchy attitude are just too much to overcome.
