Description
So…..this is something quite rare. I RARELY ever go 2 weeks without putting something out. :O As you could still see I was active every night regardless on the comic streams…..but why I didn’t put out something like I planned was quite simple. During the seasonal breaks I like to alternate between my MLP anthros and a filly comic. Well what happened what I was planning to do the anthro and took last week to check on the file that I had sitting on my computer since January…..holy crap did it look bad. I really under-estimated just how rough the anthro looked when I left it off in January and it was gonna take me more than a couple days just to re-work it all. I actually opened it Thursday night last week and I work Friday/Saturday/Sunday at my normal job all day so that wasn’t gonna happen. Even this comic right here needed about a 2 hours of work after having it sit on my computer since March. See this is why I like to buffer stuff for occasions like this….although the last 2 weeks I’ve been quite busy. Luckily after July 4th came around I got a lot of stuff nicely polished up so the anthro is looking good now and that I will put out next weekend 100% for sure. :) Nice to have more spare time again in the afternoons. Muffin is in this….it’s so damn obvious.
Anyway on this comic. So I personally will say this is OFFICIALLY my 2nd pony series next to my Derpy/Spitfire stuff. I think I’ve done about 5-6 camp comics involving Filly AJ and Coloratura or even AJ in other camp situations. I almost was considering about a year ago making a tumblr blog purely on this series but I passed on it cause I think it’s better to space these out and not really have a time or schedule or camp daily schedule they follow. :nod: It’s easier to do it like this and not only that I LOVE keeping the slice of life factor these have and this is one of them. A CASUAL comic. It’s not pure comedy and it’s not outlandish like other comics I do…..it’s a nice general comic of an activity that someone can connect to and have this one be like a “normal daily life at the camp friendship comic”. This is a feel good comic if you will and this in a sense would be the type of randomness you’d see if I totally made this into a blog series if I tumblred it ever. During the polishing I spent this week on the comic I changed the original dialogue I was gonna put it from my notebook from a while ago and I decided to add a bit of mud to them that wasn’t originally in this one. :D I like this better and I didn’t forget AJ’s freckles for once. :meow: I do know I made the heads a little big I think on AJ and the 2nd to last Coloratura but again….we are talking about something I made in March…..stuff is a little more polished a little now. I like keeping the mistakes in there.
But yup that’s all on this one. We are back on a normal schedule again so no freaking out or anything…although I don’t think anyone did cause everyone likely saw I was active streaming on picarto though the polls I do each night. :P Next I will put out the anthro I had to re-work on and I personally like the changed I did with this. I had to check up on a lot of stuff to see if I was doing it right and I ran into some really good anthro artists over the last few months and combed through their art to see if I was doing this posing and torso correctly from a distance. I think the changes and research I did worked out great….so that will be next weekend.

one thing that’s obvious though is giant boobs = automatic upvotes. that’s the same with every picture, bud. not just your “mortal enemy” you like to complain to all the time. popular artists see the same correlation.
Eh you can think what you want. If I’d be obsessed I’d have been commenting more :) just setting something straight. And pointing something out: your newest anthro got a lot more upvotes than downvotes but not because of the quality ;)

“Obsessed” when this has been the first time in ages… Last time was a question which I think isn’t illegal last I checked.
Well as I said in the description…this is a comic of a bigger picture. I don’t see people complaining when people do series comics of 100+ pages cause a lot are more casual. Just saying. :) This is one of the casual ones where it’s not suppose to be funny or stupid…..just a normal slice of life comic.

Well I’ve checked the downvotes and the last few didn’t get more than 5 or so downvotes. It’s only the comics that are quite ahem “bad” that get so many. And I wouldn’t say he turned controversial, I think he has gone through quite a few things that could’ve been easily avoided.
Except that this isn’t any different then the other comics he made in the past year or two and those didn’t get so many downvotes. It was only after he became controversial that this happened.
Another thing is that a lot of the downvotes happened within seconds of the upload. So a lot of people just looked at whose comic it was and then downvoted.
Constructive criticism here!
I don’t believe the down votes are happenings because you’re the artist in particular. I have noticed that sometimes, your comics seems to be missing important pieces to be welcomed as good or interesting comics.
Based on the most populars type of comics, good comics are either composed of:
-Multiple parts with interesing and well developed stories that seems to go somewhere
-Or shorts but funny/content packed.
Your comics in comparison, most often don’t contains these pieces. I see you’re interested in short comics, but they don’t contain “punches” or interesting aspects. Like in this one for exemple, I’m not sure what it’s supposed to mean.
-It’s raining, Rara and Apple Pone brings back their flag while nobody’s playing.
-Rara tells AJ that the team who brings back their flag wins a shirt.
And then it’s the end of the comic.
As you can see here, there isn’t really any points or interesting aspects to the idea, it’s missing some pieces. Unfortunately, you’re using this flawed recipe repetively.
Maybe it would be the best for you to rethink your approach.
But hey, it’s only my honnest opinion :)
