Been seeing a lot of sleep molestation pics recently, but a lot of them don’t really seem to give off that deep sleep vibe. I’m of course not saying anything bad about the execution of the art persay, but I feel like people are just slapping on Z’s, and putting a character in a typical lying pose with the loose implication that the character is sleeping.
 
The flat bird’s eye view of this picture also doesn’t serve this picture well. The cropping is kind of weird and off putting, and the bed doesn’t have any real sense of dynamic to it. You really want to deliver that weight aspect when it comes to a sleeping character, as they are essentially dead weight. Having the blankets and pillows hugging around the curves of the character would really help with this, instead of just placing the character on top of the bed with no indication that they’re sinking into it. It just makes the picture look flat at that point. I can see that there are folds in the blankets and sheets, but I’d recommend having the blanket folds overlapping the character a bit next time to really deliver that weight.
 
Another thing that would help this picture is the mane. The mane looks too neat for someone who’s been sleeping. Making it a bit messier, with some strands here and there would really help show that the character has indeed been sleeping.
 
Limp placement is also important, but the cropping of this picture, as mentioned before really doesn’t play in that favor.
 
Also, this is just a nitpick, but the mouth is a bit too open for someone who’s sleeping. Keeping it a bit more closed to indicate that the jaw is naturally ajar as compared to just opening the character’s mouth would really help in this case. Tucking that tongue in a bit would be a great touch as well. The drooling is a nice touch!
 
I know some people like the characters moaning in their sleep when they’re being fucked, but as mentioned before it’s really more of a nitpick. I preference to have characters not really making much noise when they sleep, but I understand that can be part of the fun of it for some people.
 
All in all, I’m happy to see more sleep molestation work, and I’d love to see more artists giving it a shot.
