An ideal scenario, in my opinion, is for a character like granny Smith is to interact with a object that is in plane sight, like walking over something, without actually noticing it.
Kind of like the Mr. Magoo character.
Of course in the episode that pile of dirt in the middle of the kitchen is never touched again during the episode.
