No, I mean the style’s literally changed. Urban street attire is still by far the most popular. At the very least more so than goth and heavy metal. No one looks at 80s work out attire and says “I’m glad gym clothes aren’t in style anymore”.

Do you see people wearing big gold bling-blings, really baggy jeans on backwards, their baseball cap on backwards, their pants so low that half of their underwear is showing and have more bling-blings on their teeth, have a sunglasses made out of gold, a big music boombox and start gangsta rapping all over the school?
 
No, you don’t. And why is that? Simple, Gangsta Rap and Rap is DEAD. They went out of style many years ago. There’s only Hard Rock, Goth and Heavy Metal left now.
