I’m surprised how little of this ship I see around. Its pretty cute with a lot of potential.

Removed the “crack shipping” tag. Mods, we need help. Meka your final judgement - does the old ideas (even from times of Ponibooru) count as as “crack shipping” just because they aren’t so popular nowdays, or not. Don’t care anymore, just interested.

Back the fuck off Octavia! HE’s derpy’s!

Back in early days Octavia was one of the 4 most common companions of the Doctor (others being Twilight, Lyra and obviously Derpy). There were some cool blogs with Octy, being a classy lady, pushing around the smart but unpredictable Doctor. She would, somewhat, “temper” his outbursts, while ocassionally fall into some by herself (like in the 100th special episode Octy-Vinyl music scene), which was funny to watch. Too bad all/most of this blogs died, was abandoned and even deleted.
 
||Personally I have no prloblem with the idea of Octavia-Doctor interactions. He is somewhat Twilight-Pinkie,  
genius-madman personality, sometimes annoying for Octavia, but on the other hand full of wonder, mystery and having those epic moments of standing up above everyone else. And Octavia is always cool, calm, classy and well mannered on the daily basis, she would be the “behave yourself” force for the Doctor during the interactions with other characters and situations. Then again, even she admits sometimes being “standard” could be boring and being an artist, seeing the wonders of the universe (example, Doctor: “And here is the place where the BIGGEST OPERA in the universe is just now taking place! It’s … oh dear … why there’s nopony around?” adventure) seem like difficult opportunity to pass on.

As for them being lovers, I wouldn’t think so either. Vinyl doesn’t look like the kind of person who would really commit to anyone for a long period of time, while Octavia looks more like she would hold off on any kind of relationship until she finds someone she’s absolutely sure she’d wanna stay with for a loooong time. If they were sisters, it would at least explain why they live together.
 
Anyways, I’m pretty sure they don’t get the ‘crack shipping’ tag because it would result in a shitstorm.

I don’t see this ship very much but its a cute idea.

I prefer the musical duo as sisters more than lovers myself. Either way, why does this get the Crack Shipping tags when the others don’t?

It’s just as much of a crack ship.
 
The only difference is that Doctorderpy and Scratchtavia are popular, which doesn’t make them any less of a crack ship.
