Whelp… you can bow tell me “I told you so”. Turns out Bill was a lying cheapskate.
Some are better than others. If you live in the SF Bay Area (Commiefornia), Target Masters’ setup is very good.
Handguns and low-power rifles only, though.

I live fairly close to the border, so the drive is just over an hour. But there’s a nice indoor range in the next town over, so I usually just go there.

It should be fine as long as nothing gritty gets in the chamber. The nearest outdoor range is across state lines anyway, so it won’t get too exposed to the elements If I decide to actually shoot it.
I’ve also got a shitload of magazines that don’t look like swiss cheese, and I don’t have to worry about mud with those.
That wasn’t actually intentional, but now I can’t unsee it.

Though maybe your range is nowhere near as literally shitty as mine, I don’t think those portapotties have ever been emptied.
It’s a safe queen only because I don’t want to risk scratching it. But the presentation magazine is 100% functional.

Firearm magazines usually have holes in them so the shooter can visually gauge the amount of ammunition that they have loaded, and/or have remaining. Besides, AKs are famous for being able to shoot even with foreign object debris. Then again, this particular gun is obviously for show at the range rather than for grittier use like hunting.

It’s an AK magazine, not an HK; you wouldn’t want it on a carry pistol because lint happens, but crud affecting rifle mag performance is really only a serious concern if you’re in combat, or hunting somewhere you’re expecting to shoot prone.
It’s a Damascus steel blank, cut to shape and welded to the handle.
And thanks. I have very little experience with blades, but it was pretty fun.
It is theoretically sharp and pointy enough to be used, assuming it doesn’t get caught on the way out. In practicality it’s better as a mediocre bottle opener.
I am curious, how functional is that bayonet?
I know (I don’t use filters), I just personally thought this was the best shot and I’d just rather not have to crop a JPEG and introduce artefacts. It wouldn’t annoy me so much if I could just perform a lossless crop but the dimensions aren’t a multiple of 16. Eh, fuck it, it’s not going to be a visually perceptible loss of definition.
Century guns seem to be very hit or miss - I had nothing but trouble with their G3 and FAL clones, but I’ve had a VZ2008 for quite some time and haven’t had any problems.
I’m actually looking to get an Interarms/High Standard AKMS sometime in the future.

I’m not 100% sure, but I get the impression that Hungarian guns are somewhere in the mid tier when it comes to quality. The only problem is that they don’t come with the standard AK side-mount for installing an optics rail.
