My guess, its because it’s not an OC, it’s a ponified Volvagia.
Volvagia had a fiery mane so why complain about it when ponified.

Mine is just a ponified Volvagia from Zelda, and i don’t see anyone complain why her mane is on fire.
People hate alicorn OCs, i wanted my oc to fly and use magic, i created a unicorn who can fly with magic. thus by thinking outside the box i can create a way around problems, want a fiery oc but don’t want it edgy/tryhard, make a good backstory for the reason why said oc is on fire.
Good ol’ double standards at its finest
