To answer the obvious question: Redeem means “As an additional cost to play this card, you may retire a Friend or Troublemaker with the same title. (In this case, any other Discord you control.) If you do, this card’s cost is reduced by {3}.”

Personally, I would have done it as Redeem N, where N is the cost reduction.
