Interesting how Rainbow Dash looks up to the Wonderbolts as great flyers when she herself was apparently in the same class as them AND managed to beat them as a filly

I still can’t believe that Spitfire and Rainbow Dash don’t have any significant age difference. I would’ve thought she was older by 10-15 years, considering she’s already a Captain and was a judge (not participant) in Best Young Flyer competition.  
Soarin’ also looks very old in the present, but I guess he’s just constantly tired?..

Dash was a childhood prodigy as a flyer, so it’s not surprising that the other colts and fillies would be a little jealous of her. It’s bad enough to lose to a filly who you think should be competing against fillies her own age instead older kids like you. Having her parents make such a huge deal of it is just icing on the cake.

They’re all about a year older, give or take. Dash mentioned that she was the youngest pony in the SENIOR competitive circuit.

Even Derpy didn’t like it.
 
Actually it looks like Derpy didn’t even care, she just stared at the cheering ponies and then left when everyone else did. She didn’t look annnoyed at all.
