Big JIm did say the theme for Season 7 was Family and Legacy. Plus we have upcoming episode where Starlight goes Canterlot, which Twilight stated where she was in the #51 of this comic arc. Implying its place in the show’s timeline. So its like episodes “Brotherhooves Social” and “Maid in Manhatten” concurrent storytelling from Season Six. Now we just wait to see if this bears any truth further in the show.

I’m just going to edge on this possibly being a S7 villain (given what they said about this arc aligning with the show better) and tag appropriately, particularly since the resemblance to the reformed changelings is uncanny.
