Previous>> Equestrian City - Issue 0, Page 11Wow, did not see that coming…and I must say what happens on the next page did throw me off for a second there lol, but you’ll understand what I mean when I upload that page in about a month’s time. Also, I know some of you ask why there’s such a big gap between these pages it’s because I have so many other things I’m working on I don’t have time to update this weekly (and I don’t know if DarkMalcontent has pages beyond page 13 that are scripted yet) and the fact that this comic has larger scale pages than my other usual comics it takes longer to do these pages. So I do apologise for not uploading pages more frequently, but you need to remember, I can’t do everything at once MLP (C) Hasbro
Ptsd for sure. Rarity will no doubt need a vice or two ;)
Stay tuned then my friend ;)
That already puts you head and shoulders above 50% of the long term comic writers for the fandom. XD My genuine appreciation for Sunset’s character arc might also be coloring me a bit.
Understandable n.n
This is an alternate dimension and we know that magic behaves differently here according to canon sunsets research.
The magic and explosion is really a metaphor to the wholesome image of mlp vs the massive twisting we as fabrication and artist do to it in general. But I totally didn’t want to just say that xD as that has no bearing on the story ;)
Overall I promise I sit down and think these things over way way too much with my Skype group I run ideas by. So I’m not just throwing this together the day before I submit it to the artist xD it’s all about pacing and building a new universe from the launch point I’ve given. I’d be remiss if I just laid everything out all at once;)
Perhaps sentience was the wrong word; what I meant was that canonically, the power of friendship is usually able to distinguish good elements (Luna in Nightmare Moon) and isolate them without destroying them, hence why this magic response seems off.
In either case, I’m willing to give anything a chance. :3

More like this isn’t how Celestia would conduct herself on the standard.
The next page indeed did throw Deanna she told me ;)
@TheAbridgenator
If Celestia’s appearance isn’t just a dream/hallucination on Sunset’s part (possibly due to guilt of seeing two sirens die and Pinkie get electrocuted (not sure if Sweetie plummeting to her doom is real or more dream-consequences, but the publisher at the source link does say the next page threw them.)), would you say this moment isn’t pretty, clean, or neat?
Of course. Keep in mind that perhaps that’s not even Celestia? There’s a lot going on in a short amount of time.
I can tell you this. Celestia, our Celestia, has had elements of this conversation with Sunset before. These aren’t new words of wisdom or chastising remarks out of no where. I do agree: Celestia has forgiven much worse. It’s very out of character for the Celestia we know ;)
I encourage you to keep reading. Page 13 will explain your primary concern n.n
In response to your concerns about magic: keep in mind that magic, even the magic of friendship in this case, is powerful. It’s not sentient nor does it really pick sides. Couple that with Dark Magic which the sirens are using and mixing the two on such a massive level as I’ve had portrayed so far, would more then likely cause a volatile reaction.
I reckon the idea of fire and gasoline. Both can be used for purposes bit combined at the wrong levels, they are destructive. :)
Edited because: Typo
But to have Celestia, the show’s resident divine figure, pop in without knowing thing one about what the Sirens have been doing, and knowing what they were like back then, and chastise Sunset for something that wasn’t really all that clear even in this comic (any display of anger and rage she shows isn’t really all that evident and could be explained as intensity) just seems like overkill to me.
Let the narrative explain your lesson; don’t preach it at us using a character that has forgiven ponies for doing much, MUCH worse than this as a mouthpiece.
