Come again?
wat
No. SJW still “The other side of the horse”. In this comic that would be the other side that the tree of harmony and the all friendship thing is for the gayness.
IT WASN’T FOR ME SINCE I SHIP TWILESTIA! (Just kidding! I do, but I’m kidding!)
Anyways, this arc so far felt very manipulative and overly mean. And not so much in how Luna is treated but what is shown. There were moments of hope and solace on the way, but as I said: It was either skipped or so unrelated, it felt like an out-of context picture. I guess the issue is more with the flow than the severity. It needed maybe one or two more pages showing Celestia and Luna talking or some more build up for the disappointment. But that is the general danger of these one-panel comics. It’s really tough to make an story flow
Sorry man, they’ve already made SJW meaningless. By now it’s just a pejorative for “people I don’t like.”
>SJW.
Please do not make this word meaningless the way SJWs made Nazi meaningless. Thank you.
Uh… I am a bit confused. The last arc was a happy wedding arc. You make it seem like this blog is only melodrama and misery. :/
Sometimes life just shits on you. Things go from bad to worse, before finally getting better. It doesn’t always follow a trope.
That was a moment of solace and hope for the reader but not for the character. Even the way to the couple was her being sad and annoyed. And honestly, I didn’t even realize that the picnic picture was part of the story, seeing how it was so diametrically opposed to the prior one.
You mean like when we heard about the gay couple in another village who might help? That definitely seemed like a moment of hope to me. Plus, here we get a moment of levity folded into the despair with their mother and Celestia’s interaction.
I haven’t named her yet officially, but the artist who runs https://hermajestysmonsters.tumblr.com/ suggested Arbora and I kinda like it… It’s fitting.
oh no, would be too sjw. things do not work this way. there is much greater reason that they are alicorns.
anyway the rulers can’t do what they want. “marriage of convenience”, pacts
Thanks for the feedback! I’ll readily admit I’m not a writer so I just went with how I felt this sort of situation would go down. Because this set from the moment they start their trip up until tomorrow’s image all takes place over the course of one day, like, they left after some morning chores and were back in time for dinner, I don’t know where to put in moments of hope when her day’s been pretty well ruined. Fwiw, tomorrow’s image is the solace/comfort cap to this little arc.
“…Sweetie I love and will support what ever life chooses you make, But randomly coming out of the closet isn’t going to stop me from grounding you.”
“THAT’S NOT HOW I MEANT IT MOM!”
