Well your username looks similar to a character in Tamers even though you don’t know it that much.

It happens a LOT, and to varying degrees, the rings in Caption Planet are the earlyest I remember off hand, the Planeteers had the ring that represent, not virtues but there was a reason for them to have the ring they did.
Well MLP and Digimon are the only shows i know that the main characters has virtues that represent them.

Agreed. Tamers was the best Digimon season. It was epic (Except for fucking Rio Akiyama, I hate that guy)

Even though Pokemon had the better games, it was Digimon that had the better anime.
