When it comes to the Chinas, it’s very complicated.  
They should the region in half each =D
 
They could also settle with what they have, and both go independent. They should agree of not attacking or claiming each other’s lands no more, and the military of USA and Russia can help stopping the traitor.
 
But it’ll never happen.

The weird thing in politics is that you can only recognize one China. Both claim the exact same territory as theirs, and let’s be honest, it’s People’s Republic of China which claims are closer to actual situation. I can still, privately, recognize both nations with their de facto territory, but that would make neither happy. If Taiwan gets real and proclaim independence, they might be crushed by Chinese military.
 
Chinese Taipei is a workaround for sports competitions. It’s possible to register extra representations, even if their nations don’t exist. There are also workarounds for establishing trade.
