Technically a privateer is a “good” pirate, if one views the enemy nation as evil and they prey solely on them. So its possible, just unlikely.

And seeing her cry caused Discord to doubt what he was doing. In fact, even before that, Shining Armor’s question, “How could you do this?” planted the first seeds of doubt in his mind. Tirek betraying him, and then Twilight giving up her magic for him was merely the final push.
Did we watch the same episode? Because I’m not sure we did, because your bias seems to have constructed something that doesn’t exist.

Discord turned on Fluttershy without a second thought in Twilight’s kingdom– the Actual legwork of fully, 100% redeeming him was from Twilight and her sacrifice to save him. Fluttershy just sat there and cried.

Did I say anything about the MLP movie itself? No, I didn’t, so kindly cram the accusations of trash-talking anything besides Lionsgate.
I don’t have an opinion about the movie. I haven’t seen it. I haven’t watched any trailers. I will patiently wait until October to see it, like a rational adult, thank you.
Yes, I know Lionsgate is the distributor. I even said “it’s the distributor” in my last post. What part about that isn’t clear? They have a track record of a scattershot strategy: distributing literally anything they can get their hands on, and hoping that the successes will offset the cost of the failures. I have very little respect for such companies.
Guess what? This isn’t Equestria Girls. She also has a co-writer from the most acclaimed studio on earth. Stop whining.
Wow, you missed the balls on a few points there.
For one, Equestria Girls only had pony Twi in it for most of the movie, the other 5 had to stay behind and it was their human counterparts, and the plot was about Twi’s adventure in that world, the others got to be expanded on in the next one where Twi wasn’t there.
Reforming Discord was mostly Flluttershy, not Twilight, in fact Twi and the other basically dumped him onto Say.

Even though I agree with you on the rest of the Mane 6 not having much purpose, McCarthy’s two parters are still really good.
And Equestria Girls is is just OK. Also Meghan wrote Rainbow Rocks which has very little Twilight.
You do know that the EQG versions of the characters are NOT the same as the pony versions of the characters right?
I’m basing my expectations off of precedent.
Look at when McCarthy wrote Equestria girls for example. Full on Twilight for 90% of the movie with the other 5 as nothing but Stereotypes of themselves.
Look at Meghan’s two parters like Twilight’s kingdom: The other 5 are basically cameos while twilight goes solo for the entire episode, gets to do a ton of cool shit and all the actual legwork and real saving the day stuff (Reforming discord for example) while the others get some Lip service at the final 60 seconds of the episode.
