Princess Cadence is an Alicorn all her own. She, unlike Luna and Celestia, is not a natural born Alicorn. She is and ascended pony. A horned Pegasus opposite of Twilight Sparkle, a winged Unicorn. Not many actually know this trivia since it’s doesn’t stop her from holding the power of a goddess proper. Cadence oversees the power and concepts of love with her beloved husband, Shining Armor (Twilight’s older brother). Her domain is the Crystal Empire, snowy yet beautiful land in the north that’s home to equally beautiful citizens called Crystal Ponies, translucent ponies whom have hardened bodies that have strange interactions with Magicks. She works with her citizens to learn how to use the Magicks that they can utilize for themselves rather than being used by forces that would do them harm.

Cadence’s married life has been nothing but battle after battle. Right after the date was set fro her marriage in Canterlot’s main church, she was secretly imprisoned and replaced with the Changeling Mimic Queen Chrysalis. This went on for the better part of a month as her husband was slowly drained of his Magick. His affinity with barrier based Magicks like Shell and Protect were severely compromised as he fell deeper under the spell the Unicorn stallion was in. At the time, she didn’t have any combat training, so she had to rely on the Warriors for assistance, but not after getting a few punches to the face before proving she was the real Cadence. The Warriors confronted the Queen and her Changeling army. The resulting battle was as fierce as it was quick. Cadence’s wedding did go on without a hitch after disposing the Changeling infestation.

Her lands were threatened shortly into her marriage by an ancient evil awakened, and once again had to rely on the Warriors for assistance. This was due to her current level of competency as a warrior being lacking, and her husband and Crystal Empire’s military could not hold such a magical force back. The combined efforts of Twilight’s growing mastery of Blue Magicks and her Draconic Blacksmith Assistant led to a crushing victory for the Warriors. This victory led her citizens to worship the blacksmith, and it led Cadence to pursue a different path as a warrior as one who walks with the dragons her ponies were beginning to worship: the Dragoon.

Dragoons use spears to skewer enemies from above. Their leg strength is second to none and are capable of jumping great heights. As a Dragoon, Cadence’s initial acceleration for flight is greatly enhanced by her Jumping ability. She is no stranger to flying, but even hovering can dampen the damage of a proper Jump or High Jump. That doesn’t mean she can’t strike from the skies, but it’s not a Jump (she’s very particular about this). She initially just used the spear techniques she was taught, but after the Dragon lands were made an ally to the Solar, Lunar, and Crystal Lands, she learned how to channel Draconic Magicks, such as Reis’ Wind. It’s a spell that bestows the blessing of the Great Dragon Reis to heal allies over time.

Everfree Spear - With petrified root from the everfree, this spear is a strangely powerful catalyst for magicks. The blade is made from the hardest crystal her kingdom has to offer. For how powerful it is, it’s amazingly light.

Dragon Mail Armor - With a few donations from Twilight’s assistant, and many uses of a cloning spell, Cadence is covered with mail from a healthy dragon. Even before her mail protects her, her armor (fashioned after dragons the assistant has met before) can shrug off many hits on its own. The helmet tends to have Fluttershy heading for the hills.”
