Well, actually, in “Spice Up Your Life” both Rarity and Pinkie Pie started by barking up the wrong tree, even if Pinkie Pie was less wrong than Rarity.
Fluttershy, i think your horse world has an equivalent to the world news and it has newspapers and it has paparazzi. you saved the world from a giant, fireball spitting centaur and you were a famous model. of course he knows.
I’m gonna call it and say this glademane somehow has Flim n Flam on bad terms with one another. Fixin those two may could have the effect they need to turn the whole situation around. Glademane could get run off and we could finally have goodguy Flim Flams to run the hotel.

Yeah totally, they sometimes have trouble finding the exact issue.
Especially since one of the rules of Cutie Map episodes is that one of the two ponies always starts by barking up the wrong tree for most of the episode before they figure out the correct solution.

That sounds like it could be quite accurate actually, maybe Flim and Flam have actually changed their ways, but are initially suspected of something cunning.
My guess is Flim and Flam are red herrings, and AJ will think they’re behind the problem because she’s biased against them. Fluttershy will end up figuring out the truth.
This guy is spreading lies about his friends from his other friends so they like him more, and the map says ‘fix that’.
And Flim and Flam are somehow involved.
Especially considering he’s apparently the villain of the episode.
And oh-ho, somebody who actually knows who they are.
