Well, Sunset is also a talented guitar player(maybe she learned it from Flash?), so there is a precedence for being really smart and playing the guitar in the show’s and movie’s universes. Music is also (kinda) connected to math.
I picture him as a simple, needy guitar player who probably gets A’s from barely studying… of course, that’s my opinion.

Personally, I’m ambivalent on Flash.
it is impossible to hate Flash rationally, but a rational mind can think Flash’s character has issues.
