Here, have some sketches I found lying around in my folders. I wasn’t sure weither or not I should have had some of these as separete uploads or not so I just smacked them all together.
1: Pinkie Pie pregnant with Peachy.
Peachy was a huge filly and Pinkie was completely done with everything at the end of her pregnancy. No longer bouncy, bubbly and excited for their new bundle of joy, but rather aggressive, aching and refused to let anyone touch her or barely even go near her. Poor Troubleshoes constantly wanting to dote over his very pregnant wife ended up being her punching bag and basically hiding whenever Pinkie managed to waddle into the same room as him.
2: A quick sketch of Pearl (SniningxCadenze kid) dressed as her alter ego Midnight. The evenings jousting practice in the outskirts of town had just wrapped up and she is now enjoying a drink and a laugh with the amatuer jousters.
Randomly designed the bearded stallion when drawing this, thinking of naming him something silly like: Steel Beard or Bob
3: The new cutiemark crusaders all tuckered out after a long day of crusading. They often do end up snuggling up in a huge pile, Crabapple always laying on top of the other two.
Hurricane woke up for a short while, feeling Sweet Tooth’s hoof land on his hand and her pulling him closer. As blood rushes to his cheeks he smiles slightly as he then tries to go back to sleep.
Did I mention Hurricane has a tiny crush on Sweet Tooth? No? Well he does, and it makes him really happy and awkward to be super close to her or to recieve hugs from her.
4: Ponet and Fluttershy heartbroken over the loss of their son Angel. Another day’s search turned up nothing and it’s getting to be way to much for poor Flutters to deal with. She just wants her baby back. Ponet is trying to remain calm and collected to console the frantic mare, yet he himself is starting to crack as well.
5: Quick portraits of Tulip and Inkwell (my StarlightxBlueblood and TwilightxFlash children) They used to be really close friends when they were younger, like they were practically glued to eachother. Yet misunderstandings and time got between them, making them drift apart. Inkwell never really let it go and is still upset about it till this day, Tulip is trying to move forward yet still misses her dear childhood friend.
6: Sulphur and Follow being cute, nuzzling and stuff.
7: Some headcanon of mine involving “old and purebred” pony types, like before equestria was founded. Most ponies lost all of these specific features as they started to crossbreed and evolve into the ponies that exist in present day Equestria. Some traits might still manifest randomly in ponies.
There are however rumors about tiny villages and clans around the most reclusive parts of the land were ponies like these still exist.
Unicorns: Skinny, lanky and most of all elegant. They were said to be able to move in complete silence and had a deep understanding for magical phenomenon and could sense whenever there was imbalance in somethings aura.
A long curved horn is usually the first sign that you are dealing with a unicorn. Other than that they also have long lion-like tails, curled fetlocks, cloven hooves and usually has some tuft of hair on their ears and under their chin (mares and stallions alike)
Their signature colors are white body with a pastel colored mane. Some unicorns do have other colors but they mostly only have natural and light earthy colours with a slightly tinted light mane. This makes them come of as pure and even extra magical then they already are.
Pegasi: Small bodies, rounded faces and large wings. The old pegasi had bigger wings than their descendants as well as a more feathered body. Their chest is completely covered in feathers and usually the feathers carry on around the face and to the base of their tails as well. Their fetlocks were also prone to be feathered. They could easily zip through the air and soar high up, using their amazing eyesight to spot things from afar.
Pegasi were the most colorfull ponies usually having multicolored manes and in some rare instances multicolored wings. The most common colors were different shades of blue and purple, yet green, pink and white also exist.
Earth Ponies: Being the queens of the earth these ponies were large, muscly and big boned. You could feel an earth pony caravan coming from almost a mile away. These ponies had an incredible conection to the plants and animals making sure that everything on the ground worked smoothly. They were also the most family oriented ponies and valued the security of being in big groups. That’s why they were the first ponies to start building villages and towns.
Despite their size they were usually very friendly and really did make practice of the phrase “gentle giant”.
Other than their size their most striking features is their fluffy fetlocks, and during the winter their fluffy winter coats helping them keep warm while the other races usually chose to move during the colder months.
Their colors are usually very warm, such as red, orange, yellow, lime etc. and on top of this they usually have lighter markings spread out on their bodies, most on their face and feet.
